đ« Social tea, media minds, corp advisor (r)evolution, and more
A friend cautioned us a few months back to not try to be everything to everyone.
Well, weâre not quite doing that. We are, however, trying to be as close to everything as we can to the whole life science communicator ecosystem. And weâre picking up steam! T2B aspires to be THE place for connection, learning and growing for communicators in our industry, whether youâre in the very early stages of your journey on this career path, moreso on the other end of things, or somewhere in the middle. | ![]() |

Last Call - Master Your Message Workshop Today
Free and open to communicators at all career stages in our community, T2Bâs Master Your Message executive coaching workshop at noon ET will equip you with a refreshed strategy for refining your personal messaging in a way that resonates across various scenarios.
Get the Social Media Tea at Our August Comm Convo
âFor our August Comm Convo, weâre bringing the outside in, and welcoming Annie-Mai Hodge, founder of Girl Power Marketing and brains behind the massively popular weekly âSocial Media Updates You Need to Know.â
Through her advocacy to create an educational and safe space for all marketing abilities and journeys, between GPMâs and her own brand following, Annie-Mai has a combined community of 260k+. She has also become a sought-after LinkedIn Influencer for prominent social media brands like Hootsuite.

With Annie-Mai, weâll talk about current social trends, pitfalls brands face, and strategic use of influencers. Future-proof your social strategies with proactive approaches to stay ahead in social media, anticipating shifts and leveraging emerging technologies.
âïž Friendly reminder: Comm Convos are free this year but open only to our T2B community. Confirm your eligibility, and complete our two-minute intake form if youâre not already a member.
Grab Your Press Pass and Meet the Endpoints Crew
Deputy Editor Nicole Wetsman, Senior Biopharma Correspondent Andy Dunn and Chief Revenue Officer Ryan McRae are giving T2B members exclusive Endpoints backstage access.
During our free virtual event on August 21st, they'll shed light on their inner-workings, like how they monitor the day's industry news and what happens next when your pitches land in their inbox. They'll also offer valuable pointers on sparking their interest and considerations as you're pulling together your next earned media engagement strategy, thought leadership platform or paid media plan.
Meet a Few of the Strategists Leading the Future of Healthcare Storytelling
Last month we announced the launch of our new Media Minds Roundtable. And today, we're thrilled to bring together this new group to enhance the T2B community's awareness of reportersâ distinctive and evolving needs by directly improving working relationships with journalists who cover our industry.
Please join us in congratulating our inaugural roundtable members, who bring a diversified mix of skills, experience, tenure and background.

Follow along for more indispensable media relations programming, resources and insights from this expert crew. More info on our second annual pre-JPM press panel coming soon! đ°
New Feedback Forum for Students and Recent Graduates
Inspired by our summer intern Emilieâs journey, weâre hosting a forum on August 13th designed specifically for college students and recent graduates who are aspiring biopharma communicators. This short session offers a look into the industry, while gathering feedback from those newer to this profession.
âHelp us help you! We want to know what resources you need to confidently embark on a career in biopharma communications.
While youâre at it, check out Emilieâs July dispatch from her summer series to see what sheâs been up to:

And, If You Donât Exactly Qualify for the âRecent Gradâ ForumâŠ
About half of T2Bâs nearly 500 members have more than 15 years of experience. If youâre not a young buck (or doe) and fall under this group, consider the Corporate Advisor Series, our Leadership Lab program kicking off in September.
This series is especially for those who seek to elevate their influence as corporate advisors and leaders in our complex and highly regulated environment. Youâll have access to exclusive networking and executive professional development.
This program is one of what we hope will be many premium professional development programs, which will facilitate learning at all levels from experts in our network and, candidly, will help fund T2B for the future and make our community sustainable.
However, with that being said, our partner for this program, executive coach Carly Goldsmith, and we are committed to making these types of offerings as accessible as possible. So, today, weâre launching a new lower registration fee and a âBOGO freeâ promotion. To take advantage of the BOGO offer, the other person you're pairing up with to sign up does not have to work at your same organization; they can be a friend outside of your workplace, as long as they independently meet the qualifications for participation in this series.
Also, if youâre interested in participating in the Corporate Advisor Series but do not have the L&D budget or accessible funds otherwise, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss further. We'll evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis.
Here at T2B, July Has Been All About AI
⊠and letâs not kid ourselves; the foreseeable future will continue to be all about AI, too!
To support the T2B communityâs collective ambition to be AI pros, weâve both compiled and created resources specifically for biopharma communicators, including this tips and tricks doc from fellow panelists at Fierce Pharma PR East; these bonus insights from Daniel Mendez, our July Comm Convo speaker; these key takeaways from our July AMA; and these AI usage policy templates.
Click here to watch the first highlight reel from Julyâs Comm Convo and to read additional commentary from our guest speaker, Daniel Mendez. Donât forget to ⊠If you missed our AMA last week with AI-driven communicator Shirley Mao, the complete chat transcript lives in the #ama channel on Slack. | ![]() |
âïž Did you know that the #ama channel in T2B Slack is open 24/7? You can join it any time and scroll back through the Q&A in its entirety. Click Add channels -> Browse channels -> Search for ama.
When We Werenât Talking AI, We Were T2Bmeet-ing
Thanks to everyone who came out earlier this month to support Life Science Cares Boston and our community for T2Bmeet @ Boston! Such a great turnout for a summer morning. We couldnât have done it without our amazing hosts at MassBio and generous sponsors, The Castle Group and AbbVie! If you missed this one, donât worry- there will be more T2Bmeets coming up in Boston and other biopharma hubs. Speaking of future T2Bmeets, we applied for a meetup spot in SXSWâs 2025 official program. Voting will open up next week, and weâd reaaaally appreciate all the help we can get! (You can vote even if youâre not planning to attend SXSW.) Weâll share voting instructions soon. Stay tuned, please and thank you. |
Get Reacquainted With Biotech OG Mandy Jackson
âIt was fun (and a little frightening) to be the one getting interviewed for once.â
Mandy graciously shared numerous detailed pitching tips (and pet peeves) for the July edition of T2Bâs Biopharma Beats Bulletin.
She says that Scripâs differentiator is the perspective they can add to the dayâs news. Mandyâs team has deep institutional knowledge as well as access to databases that, together, provide a broader or more nuanced view. âWeâre not going to be usually the first to publish a story, but weâll be in-depth.â
Read this monthâs full Biopharma Beats Bulletin in Slack. You'll definitely be well-equipped to more efficiently engage with Mandy and her team!
Meet Our Community! Julyâs Pulse Narrative Spotlights Dora P. GonzĂĄlez
âš Pulse Narratives is back with our July edition, featuring Dora Palmira GonzĂĄlez. As part of our quest to bring forward experiences from different kinds of communicators in our industry, Dora sheds light on what it's like to work for the Novo Nordisk Foundation and its investment arm Novo Holdings US. | ![]() |
đŹ In our strategic position as communicators, she says that "oftentimes we are the connection between teams and the bridge to internal and external resources, to help our organizations achieve their goals."
đŻ Dora also reminds us that "itâs always key to be a good partner to others around us."
đą Reflecting on T2B, Dora shares that we're "creating valuable spaces and events to build community, share experiences, learn, and be inspired by peers across the biotech landscape."
OK, how could we NOT include something about the Olympics?
Competition was fierce for this monthâs âSeen on Socialâ spot⊠though not as fierce as Simone Biles and Team USA this week! (Read more from Lisa Jarvis on how Simone is âredefining resilience.â)
Anyhow, this week we saw on social this masterful post from CGT influencer Benjamin McLeod: âCeline Dion's performance blew everyone away. But CAR-T could fully eliminate her disease.â
What a lesson in finding that beautiful intersection between a universal pop culture moment and scientific progress. đ
