The T2B community is all about enhancing the future of our profession.

And as part of that mission, we’re committed to supporting up-and-coming biopharma comms talent.

So we’re excited to announce that applications to our Students & Recent Grads Roundtable open today!

Everything you need to know about the Students & Recent Grads Roundtable

This roundtable has five seats for T2B members who are themselves aspiring biopharma communicators. And thanks to the generosity of Geoff Curtis and Marshall Curtis Communications, the five selected students and recent graduates for this roundtable will receive a complimentary T2B Student Pro membership.

Like all our roundtables, this group will create quarterly virtual programs and resources for the broader community. The Students & Recent Grads Roundtable seeks to directly influence the future of biopharma comms, allowing participants to lead in fostering greater collaboration, excellence, and innovation among rising T2B professionals.

Co-chaired by recent graduate Mikel Legette and college senior Parker Smith, this roundtable will:

• Provide insights into diverse career opportunities within biopharma communications, highlighting practical steps to enter and advance in these specialized roles.

• Develop programming that addresses skills often learned on the job, including project management, client etiquette, and industry-specific communications strategies.

• Create mentorship, networking, and collaboration opportunities between emerging talent and senior leaders to build a stronger, more connected community.

• Offer engaging, interactive programming such as workshops, panels, and resource guides that deliver both foundational knowledge and practical skills tailored to the unique challenges of biopharma communications.

• Give up-and-coming comms professionals the chance to network with enthusiastic leaders who are passionate and driven in the biotech/pharma communications industry.

Who can apply?

If you’re a T2B member, a recent graduate or a current student (Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D., Certification), and are:

• passionate about communications/media/journalism/marketing in the life sciences;

• able to volunteer 3-5 hours a month;

• able to participate in monthly team meetings;

• and open to learning and developing new or foundational skills in the industry;

then we invite you to apply for this fantastic opportunity.

And if you’re a bit longer in the tooth, please share this with any future biopharma comms stars you know: Maybe you have a fantastic intern working with you at the moment, or a super-talented grad who recently joined your department? If so, please encourage them to apply so they can help shape the evolution of our industry!
